Knowing this gives us the wisdom to understand and appreciate that we must take care of each. We have created a space for all to come together, whilst paying the utmost respect to our greatest influencer and modifier; nature herself.
Our partnership with the whale disentanglement network, RABEN, and our team of biologists helps us to ensure we’re not just cleansing nature’s surface with our beach cleanups, but that we’re minding her oceans as well. We work tirelessly to continue rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing dolphins and sea lions, and undertake multiple disentanglement and release operations for whales and other marine mammals.
A vibrant gift from nature, and one that must be protected. With its electric blue, green and red feathers and long black tail, this spectacular bird is a target for illegal exporting - excessive logging also means a loss of its natural home. We are aiming to restore this imbalance, and tip the scales back in nature’s favour. At Las Caletas, we have bred and raised over 30 macaws, with the hope that we might yet see a resurgence of this beautiful animal’s presence in the wild.
Our multi-sensory and immersive space is nestled within the crown jewel of pristine beaches; Majahuitas. We aim to impart with our guests the perfectly imperfect beauty of Majahuitas without spoiling its majesty - a meeting point that complements the natural environment, not overruns it. The entire surrounding area remains untouched - preserved with the same vigor as the additional 480+ hectares of tropical forest we also protect.
Leave things as you found them, or better. This is our motto and the essence of our ‘why.’ Each of the 9,350 different species of tree planted over the last 5 years contributes to a choice, and our great hopes for the future of our environment. When taking from nature, be it only a little, we must give back twofold.
